Puppy parties
New puppies need lots of love and attention but also a chance to socialise with their peers and humans too. Our puppy parties are the ideal opportunity for your dog to have some fun in a safe environment, and for you to gain expert advice on caring for them.
Puppy parties are held once a month on a Wednesday afternoon from 2-3pm — ask at reception or call 01450 372038 to book your place.
New pet check
Welcoming a new pet into the family is exciting, but it’s natural that first-time owners have a few questions about their care. Bring your pet along to a new pet check and we’ll put your mind at ease.
Adolescent pet check
As your puppy or kitten grows, their dietary and lifestyle needs will change. It’s important they get the right amount and type of food and healthcare (including flea and worm treatment), so pop along to our adolescent pet check for the best advice for pets between six and 18 months.
Senior pet clinic
As your pet gets older, they’re prone to certain conditions. If you have a cat over nine years old or a dog over eight, our senior pets clinic allows assessment for illnesses like kidney disease, thyroid problems or diabetes. The earlier these conditions are detected, the more effectively they’re treated.
Routine pet care clinic
There are some parts of your pet’s routine everyday care that can be tricky if you’re not sure of the best technique, or your pet has a tendency to wriggle! Our nurses are happy to help with a range of procedures including nail clipping, ear cleaning, worm and flea treatment, and even wound dressing. However, please be aware that there may be a charge for some of these procedures.
Dental care clinic
It’s important for your pet to have their teeth checked regularly. Oral disease is very common in pets, so our nurses will create a tailored dental care plan for your companion. They can also demonstrate effective teeth brushing and discuss the best types of diets.
Weight & nutrition clinic
Pets are susceptible to unexpected weight gain if their diet isn’t balanced or they’re not getting enough exercise — this can lead to serious health problems like heart disease. Our nurses will assess your pet’s body condition score and advise you on any diet and lifestyle changes necessary to help them get fighting fit.
