About Us

Our purpose-built practice not only allows us to provide excellent veterinary care but also fulfilled a lifelong dream for our owners.

Hawick Veterinary Practice was first established in the 1960s, although at that time it was just a small clinic on the south side of Drumlanrig Square.

By the start of the 70s, the practice had expanded so much that new premises were needed, and we moved across the square to the north side. 

However, our biggest move came in 2011 when we relocated to purpose-built premises. This new location gave us space for stables and stocks for horses, a treatment area for small farm animals, as well as all the surgery and consultation areas we wanted.

Our bigger and better facilities meant that we could get even closer to our ultimate goal – to provide a veterinary healthcare service that meets or exceeds the expectations of our customers and staff.

Today, we remain committed to providing a superior customer experience and enhancing the health and happiness of every pet, horse and farm animal in our care.
